When you first import a Terrainman model into SSP, each polygon is a separate object. Because of this, gaps will appear between the polygons when you render the terrain. To fix this problem, choose Modeling > Resurfacing > Smooth… SSP will tell you that it has encountered more than one Shape object and ask if you want to go ahead and smooth them. Click Yes, and everything should come out groovy and/or hunky dory.
